Document header reads;

“RECEIVED AT IN THE FIELD ON THE 18 OF JULY 1864 OF CAPT. B. F. REED A.Q.M. THE FOLLOWING ARTICLES OFQUARTERMASTER STORES”

The document lists several items from pens, papers and envelopes to shoes, corn and fodder. Document is signed at bottom’ by W. P. WATTS CAPT. QUARTERMASTER C.S. ARMY.

Both officers mentioned in the document served in the Confederate Quartermaster Department. No other details are known.   [ad]
