For example, in this issue: (1) “The Louisville Journal says the trestle work near Maldroughs’s Hill, on the Louisville and Nashville Railroads was destroyed yesterday by John Morgan’s forces…” (2) “Dr. Pranks and Dr. S.H. Hall (alias Hunt) were committed to the Old Capitol Prison…the charge against these MD.s is illegally obtaining the discharge soldiers…”(3) “Captain Jones says that the only ship that (CS Captain) Semmes is afraid of is the Vanderbilt…He laughs at other ships, saying what he cannot whip he can runaway from.
