Overall length: 18”. 4-sided blade: 7”. Three holed langet: 8.5”. Blade sharp and well defined. Metal exhibits darkened patina w/pitting and tarnish. The 1.375” width of langet indicates that it was designed for the bulbous hafts of pikes in still at the time of the Civil War. (Naval pike hafts ran generally 7 to 8’ in length). Excellent “Boarders Away!” US Navy collectible. [JP]
