15", sharp double-edged, multi-fuller blade struck with a typical armorer's mark. A light Damascus pattern appears over the entire surface. Hilt of black horn, mounted with silver niello domed rivets. Silver scabbard mounts decorated with fine quality inlaid niello designs; leather covering over wood core in fine condition. Blade is in ex. condition, clean and smooth, no pitting, with the alternating irregular layers of Damascus undulating lengthwise down the blade in varied shades of light gray. This does appear to be genuine mechanical Damascus. Fine overall condition. [pe] [ph:L]
