This Model 1860 Staff sword is a post-war piece in fine condition overall. Though not maker-marked, this Prussian-made sword blade, by Gebruder Weyersberg, was one of thousands imported by Horstmann and Sons of Philadelphia, PA, and assembled in the US. The oval blade measures 30” in length and is 11/16” wide. Obverse ricasso bears the blade maker’s stamp of the ‘King’s Head.’ Fine etching on blade. Grips are black horn with twisted gilt-wire wrap. Pommel and guard are the regulation style. Bright metal scabbard with gilt mounts, drag, and throat. A very fine display piece.
