The drawn saber meas. approx. 41.25 inches from point to pommel. The blade meas. approx. 35.00 inches with a central fuller that is 27.50 inches long. The surface of the blade is mottled and dusty with minor surface dirt. There are also some minor rub marks near the point. The edge is free of nicks. Both the obverse and the reverse ricasso are blank with no signs of any markings. Original leather washer is complete.

The hilt has a very nice dark brown leather covered grip with twisted brass wire wrap. The leather shows a little wear in areas with a small area of surface finish loss on one side. This area meas. approx. 1.00 inch x 0.25 inch. The twisted wire wrap is 100% intact. The brass pommel cap, knuckle bow and counterguard have a dull brass finish.

Metal scabbard is complete with throat and both mounts and rings. The surface of the scabbard is dark with areas of heavy oxidation and scattered pinprick pitting. Scabbard also has several dents on both sides of the lower third of its length. The dents look to be of uniform size and shape. Drag shows some light wear.

Saber is tight. Nothing wiggles. Has a nice used look.  [ad] [ph:L]
