Single-edged, flat blade, measuring 29.25” in length, 1.5” in width. Exhibits smooth medium grey patina, with some age & moisture spotting. Washer present. Hilt assembly tight & symmetrical. Jappaned double counter & knuckle guards, circular in shape, which were characteristic of Nelson-era Royal Navy cutlasses. Jappaned blacking exhibits medium wear. Ribbed wooden grip is good & solid, as the tang rivet. All in all, a fine collectible for Nelsonian, Horatio Hornblower fans.
