Musket lockplate for an early flintlock. Marked “Virginia / Manufactory” under the pan and “Richmond / 1806” at the far left. No hammer, no mainspring. There is the sear, spring, and tumbler still mounted on the back. Stamped “R A” on the back. Overall condition is good with a dark patina and light surface pitting. [jet]
