Maker marks: “Colts Patent/ K__/ *”. Markings worn, but “Colts Patent” entirely legible. Made of brass, with iron sliding panel, measuring 4.25” in length, .5” at mold base, with ball and bullet mold cavities. Exhibits moderately tarnished patina, else VG, with crisp molding cavities. Excellent "Root” Colt collectible.
