SLEEVE OF SHARPS PELLET PRIMERS

$95.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 1142-132

This is a tube of pellet primers for the Sharps carbine or rifle.  The tube Is made of thin sheet brass and contains approximately 25 copper priming discs and a wood dowel. The primers were pushed out of the tube and into the Lawrence priming system in the bottom of the Sharps lock plate.  Not as reliable as ordinary percussion caps, the pellet primers were still used quite often during the Civil War. Accounts from various units attest to their use when needed.

This is an interesting accessory that should accompany any Sharps rifle or carbine display.  [jet] [ph:L]

Requires shipment via UPS.
