The pistols manufactured by R.P. Bruff of New York are similar to the Henry Deringer type made between 1850’s to 1860’s. This example is a .45 caliber single shot percussion pistol. It is 7 ½ inches in length and the barrel is 4 inches. All the mounts are made from German silver. Scroll engraving standard on all pistols. Stock is checkered and made from walnut. Lock is marked R.P.BRUFF. No other markings.
