Presented here is a fine, modern (1950's) reproduction wooden case made to accommodate the Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver. The two-piece, deep maroon colored velvet-lined, unlockable walnut case is finely custom crafted and measures 12" long x 5¾" wide x 2" high. Case exterior is in excellent condition and completely wrapped in a black, faux leather veneer. Inside area exhibits vibrant deep maroon-colored velvet padded backing glued to the double brass-hinged lid cover. Box base is also velvet lined and displays the non-angular customized compartments in which the revolver and its tools are stored.
No tools are present but the box does contain a small, empty circular tin labeled 'Hicks Percussion Caps' win the original paper label glued to the lid top. One dozen modern cast .31 cal lead balls also present. Velvet lining is in very good original condition but does show a few light scuff spots from revolver storage. A fine and complete reproduction wooden display case in great condition at a reasonable price to showcase your M1849 Colt Pocket Revolver.
