.41 caliber, single shot, percussion pistol, made circa 1850s-1860s. Not serial numbered. This gun is about 6” in length. Barrel is about 2 ¾” long. Stamped “A. WURFFLEIN / PHILA” on flat surface atop barrel. Walnut stock features checkered grips and attractive inlays. Attractive engraving on trigger guard, hammer, and lock plate. Mechanics are strong and crisp. Lock plate stamped ‘A. WURFFLEIN / PHILA”. Gun metal is clean and smooth with very dark color. Moderate wear at muzzle.
