Grenade launcher for the Belgian made Fabrique Nationale Model 1949 semi-automatic rifle. Developed after World War Two, the FN-49 was a well regarded rifle, but many nations were developing their own selective-fire assault rifles and thus, in addition to Belgium, the weapon saw wide use, but in a limited number of countries, such as Argentina, Egypt, the Belgian Congo, etc.

This launcher locks onto the rifle barrel with a wing-nut and has a folding sight with range markings. This one is specifically for a .30 caliber weapon and is marked “S.A. Cal. 30.”  (It cannot be used with other calibers.) It shows very light use and has its black finish intact. The brown leather carrying case is complete, solid, and has tight seams, with just some light scuffs and one curved divot about two-thirds of the way down the front. Some shipping restrictions may apply. [SK]
