This is a 7-mm, 6-shoot pinfire revolver manufactured by St. Etienne arms. Based on the proof marks it was manufactured between 1869 until 1886. Markings on the right side of the frame are “FABRIQUE DE STETIENNE” and on the left side MOUVEMENT AGIER. The barrel and cylinder are stamped “ACIER FONDU” (cast steel). The cylinder has the St Etienne proof mark and is engraved. It also has some additional engraving on the barrel and frame. The barrel and frame are blued and the frame is case hardened. The trigger is a folding one and the revolver loads by pulling down on a lever that allows the barrel and cylinder to move forward. Front sight is missing. Grips are made from wood. This revolver has most of the original finish and may have never been fired.
