When the United States entered WW1 they had a shortage of rifles. Production facilities were already set up to manufacture the British pattern 1914 rifle. It was redesigned to accept the 30.06 cartridge and was pressed into service as the Model 1917. Remington, Winchester and Eddystone manufactured 2,200,000 Model 1917’s.

The “Eddystone” has a 26” inch barrel and a 6 round integral magazine. The iron parts are finished matte-blue. Breech is marked U.S. / MODEL OF 1917 / EDDYSTONE over the serial number. Barrel is marked with the bomb and the date 3-19. Walnut stock is in good condition with no cracks. Bore is semi-bright.

Firearms may only be shipped to a licensed dealer (FFL Holder) - If you are not a licensed dealer, you must make arrangements with a dealer in your state to receive the firearm and transfer it to you.
