This famed photo is a panoramic birds-eye view of the 5,000 tent veterans camp, taken from the Zieglers Grove Observation tower, looking down across the Emmitsburg Road. On the extreme left are the Codori buildings, which were passed by Pickett’s men in his famous charge. To their right can be seen the Virginia Memorial amid the tree line along Seminary Ridge.
