Dated October 7, 1861. Number 11459. Shows wear and light soiling throughout; chipping along edges.  Printed on paper that has a portion of another note on the reverse. This item was once part of Lee’s Headquarters Museum of Gettysburg collection; it was de-accessioned in the late 1990’s along with many other items in order to raise funds to help defray costs of an extensive renovation undertaken to concentrate the museum’s focus on the interpretation of the First Day’s battle. Previously sold by The Horse Soldier in 2001. [ld]
