Celluloid compact features colorful images of the Jennie Wade House on the lid, and Little Round Top on the underside. Lid lifts off to reveal a mirror on the reverse. Base features a rotating sifter for the powder. Traces of powder remain. Measures 2" in diameter.
Underside has maker's mark that reads, "CRUVER MFG. CO. CHICAGO, U.S.A." They made photographic novelties and souvenirs. This type of compact was made until 1933. [sl]
