Edward H. Fowler (1932-2018) was a member of Avalon Lodge #657, Pittsburgh, June 28, 1932 - September 28, 2018. Some highlights of his Masonic membership besides his tenure as Grand Master (1992-1993) include serving as the Provincial Grand Master for the Royal Order of Scotland, Provincial Grand Lodge, USA, from 1997-2014, and being the personal guest of HRH Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent and Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England, at the event for the 275th anniversary of organized Freemasonry - the only American to speak at this gathering. Fowler’s name is on the dedication plaque on the monument; at the time he was serving as the Right Worshipful Grand Master.
