ANTHONY STEREO VIEW OF CONFEDERATE PRISONERS ON SEMINARY RIDGE

$275.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 205-41

This is the well-known Brady photo of three Confederate prisoners photographed in front of log breastworks on Seminary Ridge. It is believed that the photo was taken around July 16, 1863. The stereo is by E. & H. T. Anthony. The view is on a yellow colored mount and is #2397. Lightly printed on the edges is “PHOTOGRAPHIC HISTORY-THE WAR FOR THE UNION.” Contrast on the image is good. There is some light surface dirt on the print. Back has green paper caption that reads “REBEL PRISONERS, GETTYSBURGH.” There is a black “X” over the caption for some reason.
