English Delft porcelain jar features gold gilt bands with a floral cartouche label that reads, “CUSPARIA”. This was a medicine made from the bark of a tree in South America and was used as a remedy for dysentery, poor appetite and feverish illnesses. Lettering near base of jar reads, “R G U”. Gold gilt has worn in areas.

Measures 9 ¾” high x 5 ¼” at the base.    [SM]
