This japanned black tin meas. approx. 2.00 x 2.00 x 3.25 inches with a raised pewter spout at top center. One edge of the top is marked with the number “34” in white ink or paint.
The worn paper label has browned with age and is 80% present. At center of the label is a rooster perched atop a shield that is divided in half, one side is the US flag and the other is a medical caduceus. Above the rooster is a riband that reads “USA MEDICAL D…” with the number “34” above it. Another riband is present at bottom containing a Latin motto. Also visible at the bottom of the label is “… OF QUINIAE SULPH (gr. iij….” and “FORTY DOZEN.”
The japanned finish shows numerous scratches but the tin is free of any dents. [ad] [ph:L]
