Insignia consists of an applied silver laurel wreath with a patriotic shield at center on an oval black felt backing with a dead bullion border. The stripes on the shield are made up of two alternating rows of bright and dead bullion to give the duel color impression while the stared field is made up of horizontal rows of thread with thread stars. Very well done.
Overall dimensions of the item are 2.75 x 1.75 inches.
Reverse has a worn brown polished cotton backing.
Some light surface dirt but otherwise excellent. [ad]
