Type issued with M1859 McClellan saddle. A crupper is a strap that runs from the back of the saddle or harness along the top of a horse to underneath the tail. The purpose is to keep the saddle from sliding too far forward. Bridle leather with heavy iron buckles on each of a pair of straps. Excellent Plus condition. No marker or inspector’s marks.
