Leather saddle featuring the typical McClellan seat with elliptical cutout at center. Brass saddle shield mounted on pommel says it is an 11 ½” seat. Leather is in good condition but shows heavy use. Splits in the stitching at the saddle shield and at bottom edges of frame. Pommel and cantle have all brass escutcheons.
Saddle has no skirts which is correct for this model. Continuous loop quarter straps are present and connect the Safe and rings. The Safes are the “shield” shaped variety but any arsenal stamps have long since worn off. Long Cincha strap is also present.
All leather shows wear but is strong. Surface dirt from age and storage is present throughout. [jet]
