Leather belt is in excellent condition. The belt meas. approx. 1.75 inches wide and is complete with both drops and all its hardware.

Both the body of the belt and the drops are decorated with three parallel lines of bullion thread. Originally gold, it has now turned a dark silver from oxidation. The leather is supple and excellent. The sliding keeper is present and matches the belt.  The Pattern 1851 plate retains much of its original gilt and silver finish.

The drops have large gilt frame buckles and gilded sword hooks. Support hook is present on the left side. The longer of the two drops has a repair approx. 6.00 inches above the hook but this has been excellently repaired by someone and is near invisible.

This is a very attractive piece and if displayed with a sword it would enhance its appearance significantly. [ad] [PH:L]
