This is a very rare Confederate-made percussion cap pouch. The outer flap is one piece with the back. Overall, the leather is thin and stiff. This pattern had the separate closing tab sewn in place, which has broken off. There is no interior flap which is typical one CS cap pouches. The body of the box is complete and in very good condition. There is no fleece. Bottom has a pointy brass finial. There is a single 1” wide belt loop in place on back. All stitching is intact.
