Leather box to hold six packs of revolver cartridges. 6.5” x 5.5” overall. Black leather box, with “USN” clearly marked on outer flap. Inner flap marked, “NAVY YARD / N.Y / 1861” with anchors on either side of the date. Leather exhibits very minor wrinkling and cracking. Latch tab present and unbroken. Stitching uniformly excellent. Inner tin is missing. Attached cap pouch still retains lamb’s wool. Overall very good condition. [jet]
