Box is in good used condition.
Outer flap is shield shaped with the latch tab being a separate piece sewn to the underside of the flap. Flap shows some discoloration at top center from use, storage and age. Latch tab is complete and shows moderate wear from use.
Inner flap is good and still retains both ears.
The interior of the box is missing the lamb’s wool and nipple pick
The body of the box is in excellent condition with the brass pear-shaped finial present at bottom.
Reverse has both well-worn belt loops that are attached only by stitching.
All seams are tight.
This box really does have the look of being a veteran. [ad][ph:L]
