Black bridal leather box measuring 5.5 x 4”, w/outer 5 x 6” flap with “USN” marking, lightly worn; crisp inner flap marking, “US N.[avy] Y.[ard]/ Boston”. Outer leather exhibits light cracking, finial strap slightly fragile; reverse belt loop slightly stiff. Stitching tight, rivets good. Overall, an extremely solid Navy cartridge box, with excellent Boston N. Y. markings.
