Circular past board box that meas. approx. 1.75 inches high x 4.00 inches across the top. Lid is edged in blue while the label is printed in blue ink on the side of the box. Label reads “STYLE DICKENS IMPROVED PEOPLE’S COLLAR / 10 CLOTH BUTTON HOLE / SIZE – LINEN FINISH” Toward the back of the box is the licensing information with an 1865 patent date.
Box still contains four paper collars.
Box has one small area near the front bottom that has buckled but the rest of the box is in good condition.
Not often seen with a Civil War patent date. [ad]
