Beautiful black and gold framed brooch has three locks of hair and two seed pearls under the glass. Applied gold lettering around hair reads. “IN MEMORY OF”. Original pin and hook are present on reverse and fit together loosely. There is also a ring attached for wearing as a pendant. Brooch measures approx. 1 ½” x 1 7/8”. Reverse is engraved with, “IN MEMORY OF JOHN PISSEY, DIED AUGUST 13, 1854, AGED 38”.
This piece was part of a wonderful, large collection of jewelry we acquired. [sm]
