Black oval case is made out of gutta-percha. It opens to reveal a post-war tintype image of a woman on the left and what is probably a trimmed CDV of a gentleman on the right. Woman has her hair down and is wearing a flower at the top of her head. Image of the man could be war-era or post war. Images are behind glass with a brass frame set in the case. There is a decorative border that surrounds the images.
Case is broken at the tab where it once joined the two halves together. Some surface dirt is present and image of man has yellowed with age. Image of the woman and the glass over it are separated from the case. Outside of case is distressed on the edges.
Measures 2 ¼” x 1 6/8” when closed.
