CDV is of a sergeant standing at the position of “ATTENTION” by a balustrade. He wears a dark shell jacket with sergeant’s chevrons, Russian shoulder knots, three piece buttons down the front and cuffs decorated with a dark quatrefoil. He also wears matching dark trousers and his waist belt with Pattern 1851 NCO plate, shoulder support strap and with the Model 1860 cavalry saber hooked by his side.
Image has excellent clarity and contrast. Paper and mount are also good.
Reverse is blank except for some collector information in pencil.
A little time and research on the shell jacket may reveal the Sergeant’s regiment. [ad]
