Image is of an unidentified major or lieutenant colonel. The subject wears a dark fully buttoned double-breasted frock coat with shoulder straps that show an oak leaf on a dark rank field.
Contrast and clarity are excellent however there is a faint column shaped ink smudge above the subject’s head, otherwise the image appears to be very clean.
