Due to the poor performance of the CS Bormann fuse, Southern artillerists preferred the paper time fuse over the Bormann fuse. This extra large CS fuse plug was fitted for rounds already in arsenals as Bormann. Fuse adapter in excellent condition. Found in the greater Richmond, VA, projectile is cleaned and varnished. Light surface splitting.  [ws]
