Display box has two large nails, a pocket knife, roller buckle and eagle breast plate. All are in very good relic condition, with light to moderate surface rust and pitting.
Breast plate is originally from the collection of Earvin Lee Joyner, a Georgia historian and expert on Andersonville Prison, who at one time, had one of the largest collections of Andersonville items in the nation. Joyner is the author of, “Life in the Stockade”, a chapter in the book, “Andersonville: The Southern Perspective”, and was a park ranger and historical interpreter at Andersonville National Historic Site.
