Excavated iron lockplate and hammer from P-1854 Lorenz rifle.  Heavy surface rust and pitting from being in the ground. Uncleaned.  All of the works remain in place on back of lockplate.  The mainspring is broken and may be the reason it was discarded.   [jet]
