This is a framed presentation of six musket lock plates and two bayonets each labeled with identification and recovery location. Pieces are wired to back board.
Specifically, there is a M1842 Springfield lock from Savage Station, an Enfield lock from Gaines Mill, a foreign back action lock from Gaines Mill, a M1842 Springfield lock from Cold Harbor, a M1861 Springfield lock from Cold Harbor, and a M1855 lock from Salem Church. An Enfield bayonet recovered from Malvern Hill and a Springfield bayonet from Frayser’s Farm are mounted under the musket locks.
Labels done on a manual typewriter accompany each item. Frame is 23” x 16” with picture wire on the back.
All iron is clean and stable with no flaking. A very nice relic display with recovery locations. [jet]
