Revolver is in near complete relic condition. The only visible pieces missing are the wood grips cylinder pin and the loading lever.
All metal surfaces have been cleaned of heavy rust leaving behind a heavily pitted gray surface with only some light surface rust in areas. Barrel still retains its front sight. The six-shot cylinder is empty but still retains all the original nipples. None are capped. Hammer is frozen in the half-cock position. Trigger and guard are also present.
Item comes in a display box with a modern paper label that reads “CIVIL WAR 1858 MODEL REMINGTON REVOLVER (RELIC DUG THE CAVALRY BATTLE OF BRANDY STATION) 1960’S.” [ad] [ph:L]
