Maker trademark: “Horstmann Bros / Philadelphia”. Features yellow bullion pillows with three silver pay-master leaf insignia, & naval service attachment button. Bullion outer shell linked round leather shell, with black silk under-pillow and brass fastening tabs. Double bullion fringe tassels, 3.25” in length, linked round outer rim. Standard tin carrying case, japanned black, with handle. Overall bullion patina medium bright, with tassel fringe tight and attractive. Carrying case solid, but chipped, with fifty percent paint remaining. Else VG. Solid collectible. Naval paymaster epaulettes are scarce.
