Pair of dress, bullion epaulettes in their tin carrying case.
Epaulette upper-surfaces feature beautiful, bright gilt ribbed material with a single row bullion border, brass outer shell, and triple row of hanging bullion tassels. A single eagle button on each. Undersides are covered in red silk and red leatherette with shoulder cushions and brass fasteners.
The epaulettes exhibit almost no tarnish. Undersides are in good shape with light wear and some seam separation. Some of the hanging tassels have “pulls” on them. Overall epaulette condition is very good.
Carrying case is in good condition. Japanning on outer surface shows considerable wear and scratching. The interior of the case retains most of its original brown lacquer. Interior compartment holds turn buckles. Wire handle remains on top while closing “loop” on front is missing.
A beautiful set of officer’s epaulettes with tin case. [jet]
