Wide top bar has pin on back while the face has scrollwork design and is impressed with (OFFICIAL SOUVENIR.” Bottom section has GAR coat of arms at center surrounded by cannon, drums, stacked muskets and two enamel colored crossed US flags. Reverse of medal is inscribed “FORTIETH ANNUAL ENCAMPMENT DEPARTMENT OF OHIO GAR”.
