Original German elite unit sleeve insignia worn by members of the 1st Fallschirmjäger Division (formerly the 7th Flieger-Division) in Sicily and Italy, 1943 – 1945. Units authorized to wear the “Fallschirm-Division” cufftitle include the 1st Fallschirmjäger Regiment, 3rd Fallschirmjäger Regiment, and 4th Fallschirmjäger Regiment – all conspicuous in the stubborn defense of Monte Casino. This cufftitle has been removed from a uniform. It is in very good condition.
