Red cotton flag that meas. approx. 96.50 inches on the fly and 52.50 inches on the hoist. Upper left corner has a black Maltese cross outlined in white.

The left center portion of the flag has a large black swastika on a white field which is at the center of a black horizontal Greek cross outlined with black and white stripes.

Hoist end is reinforced at upper and lower corners. A rope with loops on each end runs through the white hoist edge for attaching to halyard. This edge is marked with an eagle and swastika over the letter “M” showing this is a Navy or Kriegsmarine war flag. Hoist is also marked “”REICHSKRIEGSFLG. 1.5 x 2.5.”

The fly end of the flag is reinforced with several lines of stitching to help prevent fraying.

The overall condition is very nice with clean bright colors and only several small scattered holes from age and storage.  [ad]
