This exceptional knife is maker marked on the ricasso, “JNOWILL & SONS / SHEFFIELD”, and, “JNOWILL & SONS / SHEFFIELD” near the false edge. Measures 14 ½” total length when opened fully, 10 ½” when folded, and blade alone measures 9 ½” long. Knife has a clipped point single-edged blade. Blade has light spots or mottling and one very tiny nick.
Antler handle is in excellent condition and has a silver button that releases the blade when pushed. Knife features a brass guard which swings as blade opens and closes. This style of knife was popular in the early 20th century.
Brown leather scabbard has light scuffs with heavy crazing at the tip from use. All stitching is tight. Measures 8 ¼” long. [sm]
