Brown leather helmet with a six panel crown and visor with a matching leather skirt and cheek pieces held closed by a long leather strip and buckle. Exterior is free of tears and all seams are tight. Leather surface shows light wear consistent with age and use. Also attached are two smaller flaps of leather to cover the ears. One flap is tacked down while the other is not.
The crown is lined with a brown wool while the skirt and cheek pieces are lined with an OD colored wool. Lining is in very nice condition.
Item will be a nice addition to any aviation or World War One display. [AD]
