Item is in excellent condition. It would be hard to find one nicer. The blade retains all of its original bluing. The edge has one tiny nick about halfway down. Wood and metal grip are mint with no chips, dings, dents or signs of wear. The scabbard is also immaculate with all original finish. This bayonet never saw any use it still looks like it did when it left the factory. The blade and scabbard have matching numbers “92641” and the same manufacturer’s code of “44 fnj.” Military acceptance stamp on top edge of grip is eagle over “WaA519.” All markings are crisp. Bayonet maker was Alexander Coppel GmbH (Alcoso), Solingen. He manufactured 156,932 bayonets during 1944.
