88mm high explosive (HE) projectile fitted used with the KwK 36 L/56 gun mounted in the famous German Tiger tank. The projectile has been professionally inerted. Overall condition of the projectile is excellent with most of its original Army green paint still intact (Luftwaffe FLAK 88mm projectiles were painted yellow and were not used in German tanks).
The projectile is marked: “8244” (serial number); “Ha 542” (type); waffenamt (military acceptance stamp). The fuse is marked: “rbp” (manufacturer’s code); “45” (date of manufacture); “AZ 23/28” (fuse type).
